OOC Etiquette

 

This should be simple, however, because we don't want it to be said we never explained our OOC version of the rules for how we expect the players to behave... here is it is:

 

• We're all adults, 18+, behave like one.

• ST Staff are humans, they make mistakes.  Do not cuss or swear at them when trying to get your point across because you're angry.  If you need to, take a step back, breathe and then come back and explain your point of view. 

• Back biting OOC is not accepted.  If you don't like a certian player who joins the game.  Avoid them OOC.  Don't spread rumors about them OOC and interact the way your CHARACTER would interact IC.

• If a ST tells you something about a IC interaction that you asked about for your character, you will be told what your character would know of the situation.  If you ask on an OOC basis, we can and will decline to tell you.  Don't get upset or take this information into an OOC level.  Not all characters are going to get along, however, OOCly, we don't appreciate people attacking one another for actions of characters.

• Characters =/= their players.  Sure, you can argue that if a player can play a character that is an asshole, they themselves must be one.  However, some of the nicest people simply need an outlet.  Or, they like to play at something they're not because they cannot be that brash or bold in real life.  Don't assume about people.

• This is a social game.  And as such, stupid shit is going to happen IC.  Roll with it. Not everything is going to be sunshine and rainbows.  Sometimes, just sometimes, characters just get hurt, maimed, killed, or worse.  This is a world of darkness game, and as such, bad things do happen.

• NO Munchkin characters will be allowed.  If you are a power player and want to have a character that can go toe to toe with a god.  This is not the game for you.  The best part about a WoD game is the fact that you can play a strong character who is broken and still be a hero.  Explore this.  We promise we'll make the game fun for you.

• We are on an honor system.  Logs are requested of any scene that is done that is not erp.  Please poke a ST for the email address.  Note: This also allows the ST staff to give other PCs anwsers to their questions without letting you know should they have an action to spy or the like.  Realize, as wellm that there are Spirits everywhere.  This is a Garou game.

 

And last but not least:

• TRUST your ST staff.  If you cannot trust them, there is no reason to be in the game.  Because, the ST Staff holds your character's lives within their hands - the good, the bad, and the ugly.  You need to be able to trust that the staff is not out for you, but instead, the character has brought stuff upon itself or the background presented at creation has finally come full circle.  If you are uncomfortable - speak to one of us.  We will listen.
